The client was planning to acquire the Kingsbury Synagogue and asked Set Square to advise on its condition prior to purchase particularly any like immediate liability for repairs and those which might be required in the next 3-7 years.
The original building was approximately 80 years old and had further additions dating back to the sixties. The building had been allowed to deteriorate for some years.
Set Square identified that a significant investment would be required to bring the premises up to a good standard and to address statutory issues.
- The client was given a clear costed plan on what needed to be done to the building in the near and medium term if they acquired the premises
- The advice given was key to be able to agree a fair price for the property
- The client had a detailed report which could be used to develop a specification of works so the required repairs and upgrading could be progressed expediently and allow earliest occupation
