Having relocated to a temporary office so work could be carried out on their existing workspace, SIS Live, a specialist broadcast company with key contracts with ITN and broadcasting rights for the Rugby World Cup, faced additional pressure when problems arose with the design project timeline, resulting in a potential sharp cost increase should they extend their occupation of their new location.
Our Project Management services stepped in to manage and co-ordinate the project and within a tight four month period re-worked the design plans, managed and co-ordinated contractors through appointment straight through to handover, and managed the whole office move back into the new workspace including managing the dilapidations process at the temporary building.
David Wright says: “We were faced with some key challenges in delivering this project within such a short timeframe before the lease expired on the temporary building. We had to unpick the original plans and value engineer the scheme to suit the client’s budget, but still managed to achieve the look and feel of the original design whilst delivering for less than half the cost of the original budget from £1million to £420k through our knowledge, contacts and expertise.”
SIS were thrilled with the results of the work and are enjoying working in their newly refurbished space.
Testimonial: “We’re at the cutting edge of innovation as far as broadcast media is concerned and it was important to reflect that in our new building. We’re delighted with the result.” – Dave Meynell, Managing Director of SIS Live
